Airservices Australia Chief Executive Officer Jason Harfield addressed delegates at the Regional Aviation Association of Australia’s National Convention last Friday 26 October 2018.
The two day convention was held at the RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast and brings together industry leaders, regional operators, technical experts, manufacturers, suppliers, government and other regulatory bodies.
During his address, Mr Harfield discussed our mission at Airservices and how we have been able to hold our prices at 2015 levels through to 2023 at least, and will probably do so for longer.
He also acknowledged the essential role regional aviation plays in nurturing health, connectivity, and opportunities for regional and remote Australians. As well as how Airservices was delighted to announce earlier this year the waiving of service charges for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and six not for profit aeromedical services.
Topics such as OneSKY, weather cameras and microtowers were also touched on.
